Montana Advocates for Children (MAC) is a coalition of statewide organizations and early childhood stakeholders

committed to ensuring all Montana families and children have access to

a robust and coordinated early care and education system.

  • The Montana Budget & Policy Center (MBPC) provides in-depth research and analysis on budget, tax, and economic issues. Their mission is to advance responsible tax, budget, and economic policies through credible research and analysis in order to promote opportunity and fairness for all Montanans.

  • Catalyst Montana uplifts low-income and marginalized Montanans through community organizing, policy advocacy, research, and leadership development.  We work to build collective power and create meaningful change on issues that impact our communities.

  • The Montana Coalition of Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies (HMHB) is a statewide organization that works to improve the health, safety, and well-being of Montana families by supporting mothers and babies, age zero to three by advocating for public policies to achieve our mission, ensuring Montana families have the support and information they need to raise healthy children, and by building partnerships to create a network of maternal and child health services.

  • The Montana Head Start Association brings together families, staff, directors, and friends of all Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Montana, to provide leadership, education, information, and advocacy on behalf of young children, pregnant women, and families throughout Montana.

  • The Montana Association for the Education of Young Children (MTAEYC) is an organization of early childhood professionals working to solve local, state, and national issues that affect children and families.

  • The Montana Family Childcare Network (MFCN) is a collaboration of early childhood interests, who represent Montana’s Family Childcare Educators and advocates with united voices on behalf of all children, families, and family childcare educators, to promote and encourage quality professional family childcare and early education through professional education, mentoring, and advocacy.

  • The Montana Afterschool Alliance (MTAA) supports and advocates for sustainable, high-quality afterschool programs by drawing together key decision-makers committed to improving outcomes for youth, their families, and communities.

  • The Montana Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (MTAAP) believes in the inherent worth of all of Montana's children and advocates for activities, programs, and policies that will promote their optimal health and well-being and aligns projects to enhance the professional and personal growth of our members.

  • The Central Montana Childcare Alliance partners with childcare providers, families, and stakeholders to improve the quality of programming and expand the availability of childcare options in Central Montana.

  • Butte 4-C’s is a non-profit regional child care resource and referral agency serving children, families, and early childhood professionals in southwest Montana.

  • Greater Gallatin United Way changes lives, builds stronger communities, and mobilizes resources to ensure everyone has the opportunity to thrive. GGUW helps our youngest citizens get a jump start on their love of learning and being prepared for kindergarten.
